Did Jane Remover just drop the album of the year?
Her fans certainly seem to think so.
Jane Remover is an Illinois-based artist best known for her digicore and hyperpop sounds, with her debut album within the genre, Frailty (2021), being widely credited as a body of work that redefined what it meant to be a 'digicore' artist. From there, every project Remover released did nothing but showcase her raw talent, with Remover continuing to self-produce, write, and record all her work, every release being more experimental than the last. On April 4th, 2025, Remover surprise released arguably her most anticipated work yet, Revengeseekerz, a 12-track record that blends together the best of Remover’s discography whilst still smashing boundaries with its idiosyncratic sound.

Back in January, Remover released ‘JRJRJR’ as the first single, ushering fans away from the dust bowl shoegaze sound featured within her sophomore album Census Designated and her side project Ghostholding (2025) and instead leading them towards this sensory flooding trap beat. In an interview with YouTuber d9lton, Remover said that reviewers seemed to be afraid to call ‘JRJRJR’ a rap track due to its unique production. Though that is exactly what Revengeseekerz' closing track is, an experimental ground-breaking rap song.
Following ‘JRJRJR’ was ‘Dancing with your eyes closed’, a personal favourite of mine, which was far less aggressive in comparison. I would say it’s more of a dance track, carrying a lighter production while still being built with tons of different layers, slipping perfectly into the album's tracklist, whilst still sonically standing out among the noticeably ‘harder’ tracks. Shockingly, the two singles released do not even capture the duality and full sound of Revengezeekerz, which is the beauty of releasing revealing only 2/13 tracks off the project, leaving enough room to completely shock listeners to their core.
[ TRACK 2: 'PSYCHOBOOST' ]
A standout of the album for all listeners is ‘Psychoboost’, a track that got its name from the Pokémon Deoxys. Video game references and sound samples have always littered Remover's discography, including within Revengeseekerz so for longtime fans this comes as no surprise. What was a surprise with ‘Psychoboost’ was the sheer power of the track's production, possibly being the most insane of Revengeseekerz. It’s a full four minutes of this uninterrupted Hardcore EDM that is accompanied by not only Remover’s vocals, but that of rapper Danny Brown, who is the first person to officially feature on a Jane Remover Track.
‘Professional Vengeance’ and ‘Star People’ are two more fan favourites off Revengeseekerz. ‘Professional Vengeance’ strikes a nostalgia chord with listeners, seemingly a mature and grown version of Remover’s old Soundcloud mixtapes, being this beautiful compilation of samples, bouncing pop layers, and these rap undertones that create this explosion of perfectly curated noise from start to finish. ‘Star People’ in a similar vein begins with the persistent digicore sound featured throughout Revengeseekerz before slowing and transitioning into a guitar sample from Removers Ghostholding, proceeding to build the ending of the track on top of it. While a small detail, it’s a soft reminder of Remover's musical diversity, exhibiting that she’s not a one-trick pony.
While we’ve only discussed a few of Revengeseekerz tracks, the entire album is a must-listen for Jane Remover fans, avid listeners of EDM, digicore, rap, or hyperpop, and even those simply craving a unique listening experience that is incomparable to any project circulating the scene at the moment. So find a pair of high-quality headphones, place yourself in a dark room or empty parking lot, and just let Revengeseekerz take over your senses, as Jane Remover has outdone herself again, truly being on a ‘generational run’.
Although there are very few tickets left, Jane Remover will be hitting the road later this month, first with a sold-out charity show in Asheville, North Carolina, with fellow hyperpop artists and friends Glaive, Ericdoa, and Dazegxd, before kicking off her own ‘TURN UP OR DIE’ North American headlining tour in Minneapolis on April 23rd. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
